HENRI SELMER TRUMPET PROFESSIONAL
This truly is an amazing trumpet that any professional or student will be able to play for years to come. The third valve slide also works extremely well, with very smooth operation. The first valve slide has a trigger mechanism to operate the slide, and it works very smoothly with very little resistance. The tuning slides all pull freely (photo 6). All of the valves work excellently and the plating is good (photo 7). There also is a small dent where the bell tail connects to the valve cluster (see photo 8), which is also not going to affect the playing characteristics. There are a few spots of lacquer wear throughout the trumpet (see photos 9 and 10 for the worst spots), but nothing that is affecting the playability of this instrument in any way. The valves still have quite decent compression and there are some pops when you pull the slides. The dynamical range and intonation of these trumpets is excellent! This particular instrument is in truly amazing shape for it’s age. Here is a rare Selmer Balanced Bb trumpet The trumpet has been through at least one older restoration before it got to us and most of the engravings were buffed off, so we dont really know about the age or model of the trumpet. K-Modified trumpets are amazing sounding, beautiful instruments that play freely, with excellent control. baritone saxophone, three trumpets, and three trombones. There is also a beautiful engraving on the bell (see photo 2). Intonation Selmer says the Supreme has the best intonation on a Selmer saxophone. The words “K-Modified Lightweight” are engraved on the lead pipe receiver, and “24B” is also engraved on the bottom of the receiver (see photos 3 and 4).

Description A brass trumpet with mouthpiece and case. This personally inscribed trumpet was made only for Armstrong and was not mass produced. Selmer agreed and presented him with this inscribed Selmer B-flat trumpet. In February 1946, Armstrong’s manager and close friend, Joe Glaser, wrote to Selmer Instrument Company and asked for a new trumpet custom-made for Armstrong’s use. Even though he believed you could play a trumpet for a long time, he had the habit of playing his trumpets for approximately five years before he passed it on as a gift to a friend or colleague. Armstrong had been playing an earlier version of a Selmer trumpet since 1932. Caption This 1946 Henri Selmer B-flat custom-made and inscribed trumpet belonged to Louis Armstrong.
